Greek flutist Dr. Eftihia Arkoudis leads a multi-faceted career as a performer, pedagogue, arts entrepreneur and founder of EVA Arts Collective. A lecturer in Music Business & Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida and a Global Outreach Coordinator for the 2024-2026 Tampere Flute Festival, Eftihia is a visionary leader passionate for arts advocacy, community-building, and empowering the next generation of musicians. She has performed in the United States, Greece, Turkey, Luxembourg, Finland, Austria, and Germany and is a founding member of the award-winning ensembles BETA Quartet and 3Pirouetten. As an educator, Dr. Arkoudis has given several workshops and masterclasses, and has experience teaching flute, piano, music theory and flute choir to students from all walks of life, including specialized instruction tailored to unique learning needs and neurodiversity. In 2024, Eftihia was honored with the "Outstanding Staff for Excellence" award by West Virginia University and the Community Engagement Center, recognizing her efforts in fortifying partnerships between higher education and the community during her tenure as Director of the WVU Community Music Program (2021-2024). Eftihia speaks English, Greek, and German, loves to dance, her favorite color is magenta and can’t resist a warm chocolate filled croissant. Nothing gives her more joy than becoming a partner in achievement for her tiny musicians. That’s why she aims to foster a positive and well-rounded learning environment that instills confidence and self-love and respects the individuality of every #littleflutist.
