The Christmas Tree Game
The Christmas Tree Game is a fun and easy game to play in order to review music symbols.
To set up, print, trim and laminate the Christmas Tree Game board and cards. Print the cards so that the symbols are on the reverse side of the decorations. Print one game board if you are playing the game cooperatively and print a game board for each player if you are playing the game competitively.
To play cooperatively, select the cards you would like your students to practice then lay them colourful side up on the table. Take turns picking a decoration. If the symbol on the reverse is corrently identified, place it on the game board. If not, the next person has a go. Play until the cards are all on the game board or until the tree is decorated to your student's liking.
To play competitively, give each player a game board and place the cards colourful side up on the table. The players then take turns picking a card and idetifying the symbol on the reverse. They keep the card and place it on their game board if it is correctly identified. However, the game passes to the next player if not. Whoever has the mose decorations on their tree at the end of the game wins!
