Toot and Hoot Flute Method - BOOK 1
Toot & Hoot Flute Method’s Book 1 for Early Beginners is an introduction to the world of flute playing for students ages 4 to 7.
The book is designed to help children explore the flute through play, engagement, and fun. Its goal is to spark their curiosity about the instrument and make the initial challenges in learning flute, easier and more enjoyable. The book offers a gentle introduction to playing the flute and prepares young students for their musical journey.
The learning pace of this book is tailored to the needs of younger children, but it also allows the teacher to customize the pace for each student and go faster through the material if needed. It begins with pre-readers, using squares (inspired by Lego blocks) and pictures to represent rhythm and pitch. Later in the book, the children are introduced to music notation and symbols, which are associated with the squares.
The whole book uses a lot of gamifications throughout the chapters. Games like Musical Clock for developing rhythm sence, boardgame for practice, collecting stars through the chapters, and many more activities, all with the goal to promote “Play and Learn” approach.

“Amazing flute method for all the little ones! A book takes the student by the hand and accompanies them with colorful illustrations, games, rhythmic exercises (also in the form of rap) through the most important phases of their study: posture, breathing, articulation, rhythmic mastery. Each topic intrigues and excites our little students. A method that every teacher should have and use with their students.”
Francesca Piccirillo - flute teacher, Italy
