Hello! My name is Eftihia (F-T-HIA), which means HAPPINESS and my last name is Arkoudis (R-KUDIS) which means BEAR. My tiny musicians and little flutists sometimes call me Ms. Happy Bear. I’ve been teaching flute for all ages and levels, beginner piano lessons, and music theory to students with or without learning and physical disabilities for the past twelve years. 

I believe that learning music is more than learning how to play an instrument. It is above all nourishment for the soul and inspiration for the mind. When I am guiding my students through their first steps of learning the art of music, I like to be their partner in achievement. It is pure happiness to see them smile when they accomplish something new. 

As a teacher I embrace the unique personality of each student and aim to build a positive learning environment that caters to their imagination, abilities, and needs. My goal is to instil confidence and self-love through creativity. We move in the room, dance, sing, play games, make up rhymes, compose, improvise through story-telling, or learn how to play their favourite songs. Anything that strengthens their bond to making music….goes!
